It is illegal to operate a pet day care and boarding business at home without a licence, and the licence cannot be obtained without insurance? With it becoming increasingly more popular with large groups of dogs being boarded, the service rightly needs to be regulated to ensure the welfare of the dogs. The licence application covers the safety and security of the premises, whether appropriate insurance is in place, the experience of the business owner and any staff, who else lives in the property as well as the provision of paperwork such as a register and information gathering at time of booking, particularly regarding vaccinations so as to protect the animals from unwanted illnesses. Champs have met the requirements needed having been inspected by the local authority and have public liability insurance.

WHY TAKE YOUR DOGGY TO DAYCARE?

Homely doggy daycare provides your dog with routine, walkies and fun all of which will help soothe separation anxiety and socialisation. They crave social interaction and although they are happy to be with us, they also really enjoy time with their canine friends. Sending your dog to daycare gives you a break from taking care of your dog for a little while, a bit like sending the children to the nursery, and home boarding is considered the next best thing to actually staying at home, they will settle in faster with the friendly home owners treating your doggy pretty much like you do showering them with lots of love and attention.
